The first cider orchards in Suffolk were planted by Clement Chevallier in 1728, the orchards provided apples which were blended to create a delicious cider. The same orchards are used to produce Aspall cider in the modern day which is then distributed nationwide to Aspall cider lovers. 

The suffolk apple orchards grow 46 apple varieties which are milled to provide juice for fermentation with hydraulic Swiss apple presses. A Champagne yeast is added to ferment the apple sugars to alcohol. After the fermentation process, the cider is kept at a temperature of below 10ºC. Aspall Cider have a tasting team that make sure every batch of cider tastes great and ready to distribute.
