Bud Light was created in 1982, 106 years after Budweiser beer was founded in St Louis, Missouri, United States. The beer is made out of 4 ingredients; barley, rice, hops and water. The process of creating a Bud Light begins with the grounding of rice and barley, which is then mixed with hot water to begin mash cooking. The mash is then strained to leave behind the 'wort' which is boiled to give a slight bitterness to the beer. Once hops has been added to the boil, the beer can begin its fermentation and ageing process. The primary fermentation takes about 6 days and then the beechwood ageing begins; the beer is aged cold and slow for about 21 days over beechwood chips.
Bud Light is perfect drank ice cold, which is why we highly recommend keeping the keg in a bucket of ice, or hire one of our chilled dispensing units which will cool the beer for you. Simply speak to a member of our team for help when hiring your Bud Light keg.
